Ah yes but you are still going to give your dog a walk, aren't you? And although you may not want to stay in one place with the snow and/or rain, you still need to walk the dog and let them stretch their legs. So what to do? Well think of more mental challenges rather physical. Keep on a lead and work the brain as well as the legs. Getting your dog to search for things or identify certain scents can be a great way to settle a dog. A 15min search is as good as many other exercises physically, but a dog that has used its brain......who can tell. We can help you with these exercises, Just join the club. Best wishes Carol and Stuart.
Saturday 9th came along with bright but freezing sunshine and a lovely group of dogs taking the opportunity to refresh their canine skills. After brief assessments of the new dogs we then worked on some of the basics so the dogs got used to each other. Being very careful about when, how and who, the dogs then all had the opportunity to mix with each other. Well done everyone. Next meeting is 6th January at 10.30am.
