Dog Training Services
As a professional dog trainer with over 30 years experience, I am able to offer private 121 training for you and your dog at my own secure field here on the South Downs. I have access to many acres of land where we can work to help you and your dog. My private training behaviour package offers terrific value for money and once you have built your confidence in handling and working with your dog, then you will be invited to join our Lifeskills classes on Wednesday or Sunday mornings or if you need something more specific, then we have a GSD club and a Buddy walking programme.

Buddy Dog Programme
A perfect introduction to The Walkabout Way - which is more of a lifestyle than just a training programme. This is perfect for the new puppy or dog as we start with a 121 and then go out and about with you to practice and support the methods we have shown you. Working with Buddy you will have the opportunity to enjoy some beautiful scenery and some 121 help whilst out together. Find out more today.
German Shepherd Club
We have had over 30 GSD's and love the breed. We currently have two and work with many more. Once a fortnight, we meet on a Saturday morning to share our knowledge and practice some obedience, tracking or just enjoy the company of the German Shepherd. Why not join us soon and see what we do.
Scentwork Stars
Once a fortnight a group of our dogs meet to practice their scentwork skills. We use methods that have been designed to help dogs identify and show us where the "find" is. Its a great fun skill and every dog can do it. Working outdoors, we use our secure field and also our own premises to practice in. Get in touch if you'd like to join us.
Behaviour Clinic
If you are struggling with some unwanted behaviour, from your dog and need someone to talk it through with, then why not book a short 30 minute appointment with us and let's see what can be done. So often we are told that it's our fault, we've done something wrong or your dog is "broken" and needs fixing when all it needs is time and a little support along the way. We have been doing this for over 40 years and are here to help so get in touch. This is Barney and this year, we have had him 10 years - we know what its like to feel isolated!
Lifeskills Classes
Wednesday and Sunday mornings we offer our Lifeskills Programme. Clients join us to practice their training methods within safe groups. No judgement here - just a safe supportive group of people who understand how you feel with a dog that is learning to behave. There are 6 and 10 week packages available to all dogs that have been assessed .
Social Walks - for existing clients only
Whether you are looking to update your training whilst out and about or want to enjoy walks with friends, we are pleased to offer our social walks to all past and existing clients. These walks are on offer twice a month and available at varying places - social by the sea or the country walk. If dogs and venue are suitable there will be opportunity to be off lead.
